Finale

Completing this book, brings a mixed-bag of feelings and a new set of problems. For one, I'm free! I won't be tied to my easel this weekend. Problem is, I don't quite know what to do with myself next.

After finishing the last illustration, I wandered around the house like lost puppy trying to find his way home. Finally, with nothing to do, I washed dishes.

That's okay, Don to just doodle and do nothing now for a bit, a very normal reaction I would think after such a major effort. Mine is folding clothes! Or "walking" the cats, hah! THEY walk me more than they walk for me....congratulations on getting all the work done!

Congratulations on finishing the book, Don! Sounds like you've got the "post-deadline blues": the feeling after getting all hyped up to complete a big project, then it's suddenly over and...there you are; a bit forlorn and empty. Well, I waited until things settled down for you to let you know that I named you as one of five blogs that I nominated/awarded "The Thinking Blogger" award (http://www.paulabecker.com/blog/?p=561). Feel free to participate if you're up for it. : )
