The pressure is on

I'm almost there! I'm in the final stages of painting my most recent children's book. However, my two week extension has been cut by one week, and I'm overnighting the paintings I already have finished. I now have one week to finish 8 paintings, and a full-time newspaper gig to attend to. In essence, a brotha doesn't have time to write books or blog. However, I feel like I can't just leave this thing hangin'. I gotta post something monumental. I gotta leave something big that will generate profound thought and insightful commentary in my comments box while I am gone.

And it just occurred to me.

Cow farting is damaging the ozone.

And don't you big-time-children's-blog censors go taking offense. Not with farting being the most popular subject as of late in children's literature today.

Is that the only subject you could come up with before you go on your short break from blogging?

I think the little man can add to that don't you?

Good luck with all that work! I really need to read those books to see what all the hoopla is about. Maybe I'll try to get one from the library. I won't be buying any books about FARTS for my house LOL!

Cow farting is damaging the ozone? I wonder, is it the loud ones or the "silent, but deadly" ones that cause the most trouble?

oh it's just Farts! You should post some of the paintings for us to see! BTW my 6 year old just read a whole book to me and I'm on cloud nine! She's going into the first grade and is reading! I guess I was just slow at 6 I was no where near reading! What are some of the titles you've done? We've been keeping the library hot!

I CANNOT resist commenting on this one...I used to work for a county DAIRY extension agent who helped COW farmers take care of their cows. I had to type endless articles on what to do or not to do with the ahem, well-ah, shall we say byproducts of growing cows. More of a problem than any of us probably want to know in detail. The only thing fun about that job was sometimes I got to type of the names, some of which were pretty funny, of actual, individual cows...
